Call for Applications: Disaster Risk Management from 20-23 July 2026

The CUVKUN Project is pleased to invite applications from Namibia for participants to attend a training on Disaster Risk Management from 20-23 July 2026.

The Disaster Risk Management Course is designed to build institutional capacity of CUVECOM in general and specifically for the Cuvelai and Kunene River Basins shared by Angola and Namibia. It is aimed at having the institutions in the two basins to use disaster risk management in action planning in order to increase resilience in the Cuvelai and Kunene Basins. The course will equip professionals from the two basins with skills and knowledge that will assist them to anticipate, prepare/plan for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from both natural and human-made disasters.  The course emphasizes on enhancing capacity to prepare, manage risks and address disasters in order to safeguard communities, infrastructure, and organizational resilience. This course emphasizes practical approaches, strategic planning, and the use of modern technologies in disaster risk preparedness and management.
